Euphorbia resinifera, also known as Resin Spurge or Moroccan Mound, is a fascinating succulent shrub native to the arid regions of Morocco. It is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family, known for its unique appearance and distinctive features.

Key Characteristics:

• Spiny, Cactus-like Appearance: Euphorbia resinifera forms a low-growing, compact mound of thick, upright, four-sided stems covered in short, sharp spines. It closely resembles a cactus, but it is not a true cactus.

• Bluish-Green Stems: The stems are typically a bluish-green color, but they can vary depending on sunlight exposure and growing conditions. They are responsible for photosynthesis as the plant generally lacks leaves.

• Inconspicuous Flowers: Euphorbia resinifera produces small, inconspicuous, yellow flowers at the tips of the stems.

Care Tips:

• Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade.

• Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. It is drought-tolerant and can survive extended periods without water.

• Soil: Plant in well-draining soil, such as a sandy or gravelly mix specifically formulated for cacti and succulents.

• Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures but can tolerate light frost if kept dry.
